Our story

When a mysterious stranger with tattoos and a mustache, who was also a chef in a previous life, tells you they have a secret recipe for worcestershire sauce you sip your whiskey and listen. Then you tell your best friend, cause ya know, secret. And a sauce company is born.

Eric Feitel, Co-founder, CSO

Eric is a former snowboard-bum and classically trained Chef. After a successful run with a tech startup, he felt the call of the kitchen once again. Maybe it was the chaos, the scalding hot pans or the never ending search for perfect taste. Or maybe it was the worcestershire sauce recipe he kept under his pillow. Either way we’re glad he’s back to his true love, bringing out the best in (non-deconstructed) food for the rest of us.

Emily Smeraldo Rubin, Co-founder, CCO

Emily spent her formative years in the kitchen with her Italian-Jewish family. She quickly developed a sophisticated palate. In fact, her first word might have been saffron. After a career spent on Madison Avenue as an award winning creative, she made her way to sunny Boulder, CO. Where she still remained tan-less. She now has two children of her own, who often request a side of pickled ginger with dinner. Bubbie would be proud.

Gabi, Co-founder, Low-key hype man

Gabi took time off from his hair metal band to hike and make ads in sunny Boulder, CO. Weary of agency life, he set out on his own to help brands both big and small tell their story. These days he mostly dreams of taking on ‘Big Sauce’ and introducing the world to Bestershire.
